Dr. Jan Fox, a member of our Science and Research Council (the Council) and former Senior Vice-President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Marshall University, passed away on Saturday, August 15. Jan was a valued member of the Council, and involved in many efforts to promote research and science in the state. Within our office at the Higher Education Policy Commission, we knew her as a dedicated collaborator involved in many aspects of the National Science Foundation’s EPSCoR program. She was also dedicated to improving access to broadband internet and research computing in the state.
We are grateful for Jan Fox’s service on our Council and will miss working with her.
